The place at the top is a desire of all men, but not all men journeyed to be top. Many desired to be served but not many have the desire to serve others, much desired to be followed but there were not many followers.  Paul rightly says follow me as I follow Christ, while Jesus showed us his pattern of obedience to the father through the death on the cross that made him leader of all leaders, king over all kings and causes all things to be in subjection to His name.   It is important to note that life’s journey starts from childhood to sonship and from sonship to rulership so also does true leadership journey start from ground up. 1 Cor 4:16, Phil 2:6-11, Isa 9:6-7.

He was a God seeker, a good, faithful, fearless, committed and obedient follower, so Joshua handpicked by God among men and ordained by Moses, became a team leader that is full of faith, a risk taker who learnt the act of leadership through persistent followership, observation and submission with compliance to his predecessor’s instruction without fear. He is positively minded who understood what it means to submit to divine instruction through complete obedience to God and his predecessor in the midst of noises and choices.  When other team leaders lose sight of the good land given to them by God, the proceeds of divine covenant that they were instructed to go and spy, returned with negative reports that weary, weakens and make others afraid so much that their followers stated “Our brothers have made our hearts in fear.  They say the people are stronger and taller than we are; the cities are large, with walls up to the sky. We even saw the Anakites there. ” For they became what they perceive, for as a man thinks in his heart so is He, they only saw their inadequacy and inability to posses the good land, they saw impossibility at the expense of the promise, hence they were denied of the fulfilment of the covenant promise and never attained the height that was designed for them, but only wasted in the wilderness of life.

Joshua, having faithfully passed the test of followership for he had respect for the Word of God, he was full of faith, and it is proven that he is a doer of the word of God and unperturbed by his age, personal ability, he understood that he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him. He was commissioned by God to front line leadership, became leader of leaders after his predecessor and was given an assignment with divine promises backed up with divine presence for the execution of his God given assignment.  It is not surprising that He took cognisant of his given mandate, envisioned by the vision of God for the secret of God is with those who fear him. He was led and guarded by God so that he could lead other people, he gained honour because of his honour for God (1 Sam2:30), he executed his assignment with boldness without timidity or fear through his knowledge of God and His Word, for those who know there God shall be strong and do exploits, so he took delivery of the proceeds of faith in the ability of God to keep his word, hence men obeyed Joshua as they obeyed Moses, Jordan parted before him, Jericho wall fell flat by a shout of praise for he took God by his word and was able to take possession of lands,  he had victory before war, and posses whatever he saw.  He did not just hear the word, He saw the word and took delivery of the proceeds of the word, for he pass the test of followership and made a good success of his leadership.  What can you see and How far can you see? (Deu 1: 28, Pro 23:7, Num 13:26-33, Jos 1:2-9, Jos Phi 4:13, Dan 11:32, Gen 13:15)

Consider this:

“For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you. 16″Truly, truly, I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him. 17″If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them”.  {Joh 13:15-16 KJV]

At a point in time, in the life time of every man there is an issue that needs to be addressed or prevailed over, regardless of man’s position in the community or hierarchy in the society, role or activity that is performed in the church.  But his issue started small but gradually grew big, He located the church (house of mercy) and sat in the midst of other folks with varied issues, the blind, the lame, the broken and battered men with real issues in the pew waiting for an encounter that converts there many issues to testimonies and give them a change of story, which only come by the word of God (Isa 43:2, Joh 8:32)

For upon mount Zion there shall be deliverance and holiness and the house of Jacob shall possess their possession, all were waiting for the moving of the water so that they can dive in and experience victory of their issue but he was waiting to be helped having assumed that he cannot make it on his own. The water moved but he could not move himself into the water, those who dived into the water have their expectation met for healing, recovery, salvation, restoration and deliverance etc., but his issue of 38 years remain unsolved. He complained of lack of support, spent a long time in church but has nothing to show for it, he blamed it on his helplessness and the hopelessness of his issue such that it continued to look like an unending wait (Oba 1:17, John 5:2-10)

He was so consumed by the issue such that he failed to recognise his moment of help and turnaround; he thought it was like the other days when the God of Mercy showed up in the house of mercy.  Mercy located him among men in his stagnant, weak, troubled and traumatic situation not because he deserved it, but Mercy saw that he had been grounded with the infirmity for 38years. An encounter with Mercy raised him up from the bed of affliction and gave him a change of story.  Mercy overrides judgement prevailed over his infirmity of 38years and immediately he was cured for he picked up his mat and walked.  How? After 38 years, he responded and acted on the divine instruction from the mouth of Jesus and his body was made whole. For God’s word cannot return back unto him void without performing what God has sent it to in your life.  An action of faith must precede the possession of the promise. (Isa 53:5, Psa 107:20, Isa 55:10-12)

Beloved, the wait may have been long and seems endless and hopeless; simply because it was assumed that someone else can provide the help that you need rather than God. Take your eyes of man and stop been sorry for yourself, receive the word of God and let it stir up faith in your heart by the help of the Holy Spirit. Your response in full obedience to the spoken word of God backed up by your action of faith will turn your issue around and give you a change of story.  Those who had seen you in the stagnant position would yet witness your lifting.   It is not over yet, until you arise and take your position in Christ.  Arise!

Consider this:

“No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure i” [1 Cor 10:13 NIV]

“Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls. But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror, for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does” [Jam1:21-25]

From the last decade up until now, in and around the world, men from different nations, tribes, communities and families, governmental bodies have witnessed and heard noises and shouts of all types. Some shout because they are in pain, agony, distress; some shout for excitement after a football or cricket match; some simply because the darkness was too dark and there didn’t  seem to be light at the end of the tunnel; some shout because of oppression, both visible and invisible; some shout because they suffer confusion of mind and they were no longer aware of who they were, what has taken place that has made them loose their minds and become like another man.  Men are chained in mental homes today because they were out of control, aggressive and their shouts have turned to expression of affliction.  There are inner shouts and verbal shouts of help in and around us, shouts of battle and rumours of war where the heart of men fails them for fear. There have been shoutings of mastery, of slavery and of judgment in our world.  It should be noted that the shout of victory is only made after the war has been won.

There have been shouts on the home front, leading to all sorts of rage, abuse, distrusts, misbehaviours, divorce, man-slaughter and murder; shouts in schools by hurtful, hateful and rebellious young men under the influence of alcohol, drugs and demonic power; and in offices by grown up men , fathers and brothers, states men, and politically inclined men hiding their fears, issues, secrets, losses, insecurity, uncertainty under the covering of the collar job or political positions shouting for help internally, when their voices are not heard,. Good men turned to cowards, refusing to deal with the issue or confront the underlying problems, threaten others, abuse many, engaging their powers, political and social influences,  their professional superiority to intimidate and harass those considered to be lower ranked to them or their equals. We call it bullying and harassment in the work place, very subtle but yet profound issues, so destructive is the practice of hostility that the authority on earth have not been able to solve it.

It is not surprising today that such arrogance in men with unresolved issues have turned men to engage in tribal, religious and national warfare, because of high mindedness. The hearts of men had become callous, wicked and crooked in practice; men without the fear of God neither possess any respect for life or nature.   Men have become so cruel against each other, destroyers of what is good, and wasters of those considered weaker than the mighty, the rich taking advantage of the poor and the mighty deluding our world of justice. So we have called the holy profane and the profane holy, forgetting that when the righteous are quiete, evil will continue to prevail in the land; but when the righteous triumph, there is great elation; but when the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding.  Men have been displaced from their secured homes, offices, communities, nation, businesses have been troubled, and the rich are getting richer, the poor are getting poorer, so there have been shouts of all types.  Some have shouted, and some are shouting still, yet no one is hearing or no one seems to care or concerned about those who were casualties of incidents, captives in the hands of the mighty and victims of family, tribal and national wars (Isa 26:9, Psa 125:1-3, Prov 28:12).

There have been sound of noises and shouts of various types but there is a shout that brings victory before war, breaks down the racial, tribal, religious, political and social barriers, cuts down the satanic chains of oppression, stops harassment, torments the tormentors, terrorises the terrorisers’, spoils the spoilers and causes every adversary to go into captivity, releases those considered to be lawful captives, brings healing to the sick, terminatea the terminating disease, banishes every pain, causes swords to be converted to ploughshares, increasing peace in our borders and comforting us on every side, enabling abundance where there is insufficiency, exposing what lies in darkness, unraveling the hidden agenda of the destroyer, frustrating the token of liars and  causing the wickedness of the wicked to come to an end.

It is only a shout away to the God of Mercy. When man recognises the inability of man without God, the cruelty of the heart and the wickedness of an uncontrolled mind, indiscipline, selfishness and self-centeredness of ambitious men promoting self and mass destruction, internal enemy appearing real externally, wiping away acquired fruits of service, efforts and investment of persons, families, communities, our states and our nation.

A loud shout to the God of Mercy would not only open the blinded eyes but would expose the seared mind and cause men to see the true man that lies within the veil with an inner shout for an inner change and a converted heart. Why? For man’s rest lies within his returning unto His Maker, our God who is the creator of all things.  The shout of victory and triumph can go forth and no longer the shout of displacement and of trouble nor of pain.  We must look up rather than looking around, for the help of man is in vain. “ Awake, awake, clothe yourself in your strength, O Zion; Clothe yourself in your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city; For the uncircumcised and the unclean Will no longer come into you. Shake yourself from the dust, rise up, O captive Jerusalem; Loose yourself from the chains around your neck, O captive daughter of Zion. For thus says the LORD, “You were sold for nothing and you will be redeemed without money.” (Isa 52: 1- 3, Psa 119:18, Psa 25:14)

It is only a shout away for mercy to prevail over judgement and for peace to reign again in our land.

Consider this:

• “For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore, have I cried concerning this, their strength [is] to sit still. 8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever: 9 That this [is] a rebellious people, lying children, children [that] will not hear the law of the LORD: 10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: 11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. 12 Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon: 13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant. 14 And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters’ vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water [withal] out of the pit. 15 For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not. 16 But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift. 17 One thousand [shall flee] at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill. 18 And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD [is] a God of judgment: blessed [are] all they that wait for him. 19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee. 20 And [though] the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers: 21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This [is] the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left”. {Isa 30:7-21 KJV]

Some gets it’s ‘replica’ from the sweet shop, the grocery store, the small to medium size supermarket. It’s affordable to the rich and slightly costly for the poor, the old and the young, those considered clever and those that were marginalized, men from the glass house living in a bay window and those from the grass root struggling for their next meal, men assumed to be out of size or within size, out of shape or in shape, it’s needed by most if not all even the weight watchers still have a little bit of it.

A product well known for its necessity to all, even a nursing mother who has just stop breastfeeding her infant child could hardly wait to start him up with a taste of bread, to address the cry of an hungry baby whose voice is loud but his speech is still forming and his language is only known to him but not understood by the loving, passionate mother who is unsure of what and how to meet her baby’s growing appetite for food.  She can only try but a piece of soft bread seems to do the trick. It is a global product and everyone knows where to get one, the world needed it, bread is on high demand around the world hence its returns on investment spans in billions of revenues to the bakery company. Statistics confirmed that bread production revenue (NAICS 3118) in the United States from 2009 to 2014 ranges from $38.81billion/2009 to $39billion in 2014.

It is apparent that bread does not just appear on the shop window, the farmer sows the seed of wheat but God rains on the earth and causes the sun to shine making the wheat to bud and flourish, such that it yields seed to the sower for harvest of wheat grains that are then milled into different type of flours. God is the provider of seed to the sower and bread to the eater (2 Cor 9:10, Isa 5:10).

Flour in the hand of the baker becomes the bread that gratifies the appetite of the eater, who is the end consumer of the product, from season to season, day to day, time and time again; eaters of bread always buy on every visit to the supermarket.  As the desire for bread across the globe continue to increase in the lifetime of her consumer, the proceeds of man’s labor, the rewards on trade and return on investment (money) are spent to purchase bread that does not have the capacity for eternal sustenance or satisfaction to the eater neither has it the ability to keep men alive.  Why, because man is yet to partake of the bread of life that is eternal and give everlasting life such that those who partake of it never dies (Joh 6:31-49).

Everyone needs it; anyone can get it and have it without money. Here is the Question? Do you want it?  it is free for all, only believe!

Consider this:

• “I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh. Do you believe this?” [Joh 11:25-26 NIV]

“Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life.  I am the bread of life.  Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died.  This is the bread, which comes down out of heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die.  I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.” [Joh 6:47-51 NIV]

From childhood to adulthood everyone regardless of our social, economic, political and financial status, carefully journey through life with a lot of caution and minimal risk in decision making or action taking to ensure safety and prevents falling.  Unfortunately, investigating and analysing potential risk and possibilities of falling or embarking on a failed event, project, unfulfilled life or destiny, unfruitful business or marriage is unknown until a step is taking or a decision is made that invariably determines the result obtained or experienced which could either be a downturn or upturn.

Apostle Peter affirms our call out of darkness into the marvelous light of Christ Jesus as a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people that was designed to show forth the praises of God who called us.  Having been engrafted into the vine as branches, it is expedient that we make our calling and election sure by pursuing a fruitful but fall free life as our lives produce fruits unto righteousness, immeasurable and exceeding great results based on the great and precious promises given to us through Christ by which we might become partakers of the divine nature of Christ to whom we have been called.   1 Pet 2:9, John 15:1-4, Gal 5:23

The question is what must I do to make my election sure as I pursue a fruitful and fall free life? 

Every branch must yield fruits after its own kind and having been engrafted in the vine, who is Christ, it is expedient that every believer’s life produces fruits that resemble the vine (Christ) in divine nature and character through our union with Christ as we continue in fellowship with Him through His word and allowed the word of God to dwell richly in us.  For our lives are hid with Christ in God and the life that we live now must be based on the faith of the son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us, such that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

This love of God in Christ Jesus is revealed daily to every believer as we continue in the word of God which enables the work of grace to eliminate the corruption that exists in our human nature to be established in us.  The life of God that is in His word produces in us a result oriented, word proven, fall and fail free life that is not barren but fruitful in every good work, increasing in the knowledge of Christ, being spiritually discerning and being assured of our sonship in God through Christ which guarantees us a fall and fail free life.  Luk 6:43, Joh 15:1-8, Col 3:3b, Titus 2:14, James 1:22-25

Consider this:

• But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light: [1Pe 2:9 KJV]
• According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that [pertain] unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make [you that ye shall] neither [be] barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know [them], and be established in the present truth. [2Pe 1:3-12 KJV]
• That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, [even] Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. But ye have not so learned Christ; If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. • For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. [Luk 6:43-44 KJV]
• I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so, shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. [Joh 15:1-10 KJV]

It is obvious that most people regardless of their professional and political background, spiritual, social and economic status, their national classification or geographical location; invest time, effort, training, money and human resources in their varied area of endeavour or activity with an expectation to achieve Inestimable, immeasurable and exceeding great result in life, in business and in their career.  In most cases, the result whether on a short term, medium or long term derived from man’s investment can be qualified and quantified based on incremented percentage that has a definitive limit, because the derived outcome or result achieved is directly proportional to the invested input, given that the input is quantified with set boundaries. So also is the result measurable given the limitation in the resources invested, input parameters, activities or task accomplished.

So a natural man does not have the capability of producing or achieving immeasurable result due to its temporal configuration except by engaging the limitless wisdom of God that is embedded in His revealed and spoken word. “For all flesh is as grass, and all its glory like flower of grass, the grass withers, and the flower fails, but the word of the Lord abides forever”.  But the divine power of God has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and exceeding great promises, so that by them we may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. 1 Pet 1: 24-25, 2 Pet 1:3-4

Achieving an inestimable and exceeding great result is dependent on the believer’s perception, understanding and disposition to the revealed and spoken precious promises of God’s irrevocable word. Each believer’s ability to know and understand God’s word has a tremendous impact on their receptivity and action of faith in the word of God.  Invariably, believers’ readiness to follow through on the strength of the word of God without wavering but rather pursue after the love of God with absolute obedience determines the result obtained from the great and precious promises of Gods’ word.  1Joh 2:3-6

It’s time to call the question; do you know Christ who is the Word of God?  if yes, how passionate are you in pursuing after the knowledge of Christ beyond the one-off encounter or experience of Him?  We have come to understand the love of God through Jesus Christ by which we are given access to the incalculable and inexhaustible resources of God as an heir of the promise.  We need to be built up internally having faith in the word of God and by praying in the Holy Ghost, so that we can become robust in our relationship with God as we allow the word of God to dwell richly in us.  We must endeavour to take advantage of our new position in God as an heir of God through Christ to overcome all of life challenges and to excel in every area of our lives’ endeavours, by keeping ourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.   Jud1:20-21, 1 Joh 2:3-6, Gal 4:7

So it is paramount that every believer should endeavour to pursue the life of God in Christ Jesus that offers us a dynamic and ever increasing life, for whosoever is born of God overcomes the world including the dark places of the earth that are full of habitation of cruelty.  For it is not the investment in the bank that provides the inestimable and exceeding great result but the internal enrichment gained from knowing Christ and engaging the proof producing word of God, to work first within the believer and externally through the believer to enable us to not just overcome life’s challenges but afford us entrance to his eternal kingdom producing in and through us visible evidence of inestimable and exceeding great result based on the revealed and spoken word of God. It is time to pursue Christ, the Word of God with passion. Rom 8:16-17, Psa 74:20, 2Pet 1:2-12

Consider this:

• Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that [pertain] unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make [you that ye shall] neither [be] barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know [them], and be established in the present truth. [2Pe 1:2-12 KJV]
• Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time [are] not worthy [to be compared] with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected [the same] in hope, because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only [they], but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, [to wit], the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, [then] do we with patience wait for [it]. Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. [Rom 8:12-26 KJV]

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. [1Jo 2:3-6 KJV]

To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Some observe time and season but are yet to discover or acknowledge the creator of all seasons and times.  God controls time and season but was never controlled by season or restricted by time.  Ecc 3: 1-4

This man is aware of season, has literal understanding of times and has expectation to recover from his infirmity on time and in time, but many seasons has come and gone, he had seen many opportunities for recovery but he had never seen a manifestation of answers to his questions or solutions to his problems, therefore his problem persisted for yet many more years.  John 5:1-9

However, he located the city of refuge and peace but was internally worried, anxious and full of unrest and was troubled in his soul for the problem and issue that he was unable to correctly diagnose or give a name to and had refused to go away.  He kept company with multitude of folks with known issue and ailment i.e. the blind, disadvantage men with physical disability and paralysis even though he was physically fit, intelligent and was mentally alert having the right information but lacking the revelation of the way of truth nor understands the way of mercy. He sat at the pool of mercy but never obtained mercy for none had ever shown him mercy or extended help to him in his state of stagnation and lack of progression. Joh 5:1-9

Like others, he was in desperate need for help and continued to sit at the gate of grace waiting for the only form of healing that he knows, with a mindset that if he can just but get in to the pool of mercy when the water is stirred by the angel, he would be healed.  Unfortunately, he never experienced favour with man so remained grounded on his bed of affliction, pain, problem and trauma with reasons yet unknown to him.

He was ignorant of the reason behind his trouble and therefore misinterpreted his lack of recovery and blamed his prolonged issue on none availability of help from man to dive into the pool of mercy when it is stirred up by the Angel.  Little did he know that Peace, Mercy and Grace is an outflow of the nature and character of God and is not locked up to a traditional place, natural or physical form of the stirring of the water, or manmade devices of diving into the water? It is divinely given by God and it is available to every man whose spiritual and physical cure and total recovery has been secured through the word of God in Christ Jesus.

Jesus, the word of God manifested to make him whole, but he was unable to rightly discern the solution to his infirmity for he lacked awareness of his spiritual state of sin neither did he understand the true knowledge of God in Christ for it can only be spiritually discerned.  Grace and mercy were available to him, but he was still deficient of the same until he embraced the word of Jesus that produces life, quickens and brings recovery to his lifeless, hopeless, helpless, condition of his infirmity that was created by the sinful nature.

Receiving the word of life “Get Up and pick your bed and walk, immediately the man became well and picked up his bed and began to walk”, he experienced a divine possibility and turnaround that made him an amazement to his world.   He received his healing and moved from lying by the pool of mercy and the gate of grace to join the multitude in the temple even though he was yet to know the healer.

Joining worshipers in the temple, he was located by Jesus who through the spoken word of God unraveled the mystery of his formal spiritual state to him and warned him from sinning again and therefore delivered him from his vulnerability to the operation of the carnal nature that could result in stagnation and destruction again to embrace the life of the spirit in Christ Jesus.  For if any man is in Christ is a new creature, old things have passed away behold all things have become new.  John 1:1, Joh 5:1-9, Joh 5:13-14, 2Cor 5:17

Beloved, it is time to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you and I our spiritual state; so that rather than just being part of the multitude in church, every believer must engage and embrace the life of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus, having our mind renewed by the word of God; for a carnal mind is enmity against God and cannot receive anything from God even though all that is needed for life and Godliness have been provided for every believer in Christ Jesus.

It is paramount that you and I locate our spiritual heritage through the word of God and walk in the light of God’s word and not fulfil the desires of the flesh such that grace and mercy of God can recover for us the missed seasons, lost opportunities, wasted times, lack of achievement and progress in life for a turnaround of all our impossibilities to untold possibilities of a life time.  For whatsoever the Lord does abides forever. James 4:4-5

Consider this:

• What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members? You lust and do not have; so, you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore, whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: “He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us”? [Jam 4:1-5 NIV]

• How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to your word. With all my heart I have sought You; Do not let me wander from Your commandments [Psa 119:9-10]

• The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true; they are righteous altogether. They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them your servant is warned; In keeping them there is great reward. Who can discern his errors? Acquit me of hidden faults.   Also keep back your servant from presumptuous sins; Let them not rule over me; then I will be blameless, and I shall be acquitted of great transgression.  Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer. [Psa 19:9-14 NIV]

• Seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. [2 Pet 1:3-4 NIV]

The trained armies of Israel, their noble men and their king were intimidated by the power that seemed mightier than them. The overwhelming voice of their adversary that was heard morning and night and all they could see is the appearance of the enemy, his regalia and shield, weapons of war and his oppressive voice.  Even though the armies of Israel were many in number, their professional training and instruments of war were not adequate to confront the adversary of a one-man band (Goliath the Philistine).  However, their confidence was in themselves and not in God; so, their intelligence, strategy, training and personal capability failed them for fear for it was inadequate to achieve untold victory.  1 Sam 17

Being well equipped with weapons of war; they lacked expression because their word repository was empty and hence they were void of expression of the force of life that is required to defeat their adversary. Their strength was sapped, and their mouths were shut for they lack the force of life and were therefore unprepared for the battle they were facing even though they are in desperate need of victory.

Consequently, their expectation for untold possibility of a victorious battle was like a dream that has no likelihood of being realised, for they have become powerless without engaging the force of life.  For “with the fruit of a man’s mouth his stomach will be satisfied; He will be satisfied with the product of his lips. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit”.  The force of life is in the spoken word of God; a closed mouth is a closed destiny and causes defeat in the battle of life. Untold possibilities are only accessible to those who found God’s word, eat them and engage their mouth in declaring and decreeing the revealed word of God in the face of the adversity. Prov 18:21, Jer 15:16

David, a young shepherd boy, an untrained man refused to be intimidated and despised by Goliath’s threat against him saying “Am I a dog that you come at me with sticks?” He cursed David and promised to give his flesh to the birds and the wild animals.  But David rose up to defend the army of Israel and his king by speaking back to the enemy (Goliath the Philistine), paralysed the philistine and thus spoke with boldness and confidence in the God of Israel who keeps covenant saying “you come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel”.  For those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits. As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him. Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into Goliath’s forehead, and he fell face down on the ground.

So David achieved an untold possibility, triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him.  God honoured his spoken word and empowered him to obtain untold victory in a cheap way but with divine ammunition rather than the armour of the flesh to secure indescribable victory for Israel.  For you shall decree a thing and they shall be established. 1 Sam 17, Dan 11:32b, Job 22:28,

Beloved, you can command the power of the revealed and spoken word of God which is the force of life through the agency of your mouth to prevail over the adversary and obtain supernatural successes and victories that are beyond your imagination and expectation.  But nothing just happens, out of the abundance of the heart, lies the expression of the spoken word of God.  It is time to guard your heart with all diligence for out of it flows the issues of life.  May the Lord fill your mouth with the force of life for untold victories and possibilities in every area of your life as you engage your tongue in declaring the revealed words of God.  Luk6:45, Pro 4:23, Psa 81:10b

Consider this:

• You have delivered me from the contentions of the people; You have placed me as head of the nations; A people whom I have not known serve me. As soon as they hear, they obey me; Foreigners submit to me. Foreigners fade away, And come trembling out of their fortresses [Psa 18:43-45  NIV]
• And Jesus answered saying to them, “Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him. Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you [Mar 11:22-24 NIV]

The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life [Joh 6:63]

“The word of the Lord is right, and all His works are done in truth”, creation depicts the exactitude, the accuracy and showcases the integrity of God’s word. God’s divine word finds its expression in the things that are visible, which were products of God’s spoken word.   For all things were created by God’s spoken word, including you and I and there was nothing created that is visible without Gods Word.  So untold possibilities remain a secret and would be unachievable until the right word of God is located as a revealed word of God for the required possibilities desired by man. For it is the glory of God to conceal a matter but the glory of kings to search out the matter. Until the hidden secret of God’s word is unraveled, natural man is denied of its benefit and the force of its fulfilment that is expressed in supernatural exploits and untold possibilities. Psa 33:3, Gen 1, Joh 1, Prov 25:2, Den 29:29

God’s word is the engine ignited by the fuel of the Holy Ghost to produce supernatural exploits.  The able bodies- smart and intelligent men remained captives in Babylon, until Daniel located and understood by the books, the prophetic word spoken through prophet Jeremiah that the seventy years decreed period of Israelites captivity in Babylon has expired. Daniel searched through the concealed records as he brought God into remembrance of His word through prayer, fasting, in confession and repentance of sin.  He gained understanding of the mystery behind why they were still in captivity and their land remains desolate.  It thus confirm that the untold possibility of becoming free from all captivity, spiritual, physical, material, financial, joblessness, sickness, marital failures etc clearly depends on the believer’s ability to locate the right word of God and do spiritual warfare with it, for no acts of God is visible without the active, revealed word of God.    Jer 25:11-12, Jer 29:10, Dan 9:2

Ignorance of the revealed word of God is a killer of destiny and a preventer of access to the divine riches of untold possibilities. Beloved, having the revealed knowledge of God’s word carries with it power that terminates shame and brings untold possibilities of divine honour.  Every one like to be honoured and propelled to a position of honour; but God’s act of divine honour only has expression once the right word is located.  Paul admonished Timothy to study to show himself approved of God as a workman that does not need to be ashamed but rightly divides the word of truth.   David cried out for divine insight to behold wondrous things from God’s law, having understood that it takes divine revelation of God’s word to defeat his enemies.  Through divine revelation, he brought down the head of Goliath; he was promoted from a shepherd boy to the king’s armour bearer and later became a king of Israel.  He accomplished untold possibilities that have never been attained in the history and generation of his fathers.  Even though Gods’ word makes wise the simple, but it must be sought after, thought through, meditated upon, for in it lies the power for untold possibilities in success, greatness, profit and divine prosperity and wholeness.  There is no short cut, the time to search through the word and engage the right word of God is now. 2 Tim 2:15, Psa 119:18.

Achieving untold possibilities as an outflow of supernatural exploits is a desire of every believer. It is needful in the church of Jesus Christ in order to accomplish the great commission, fulfil individual destiny and become a living wonder in our world.  God desires that Christ is well represented on earth through the church (you and I) who is the bride of Christ. Mar 16:15-20,

Jesus therefore commissioned us to engage in kingdom business and operate in the supernatural power of God in order to produce visible proofs of untold possibilities by the power of the Holy Spirit.  For Jesus said to His disciples“…as the Father has sent Me, so I have also send you and when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit”, indicating that our spiritual life can only be derived from Jesus who is the Word of God and our ability to accomplish untold possibilities can only be sourced through the enabling power of the Holy Spirit.  The question is, how has the Father sent Jesus and how did he achieve the untold possibilities? Joh 20:21-22, Joh 1:1-4

Jesus was a product of the Holy Spirit and the presence of the Holy Spirit was evident in the life of Jesus for he was continually led by the Holy Spirit.  He was divinely approved by God at baptism as the Holy Spirit descended upon him like a dove. He was filled with the Holy Spirit; He prevailed over temptation in the wilderness by the word of God and was distinguished through supernatural operations of signs and wonders following. He returned to Galilee in the power of the Holy Spirit. The Bible confirms that Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit and Power and He went everywhere doing good healing all those who were possessed by the devil for God was with him.  He accomplished untold possibilities through the Word of God and by the power of Holy Spirit. Luk 1: 35, Mat 3:16-17, Luke 4:1-14, Act 10:38, Joh 6:63

So the church’s ability to achieve untold possibilities and be brought out of the obscurity of timidity and powerlessness; to achieve untold results in the issues of the kingdom, in our destiny, businesses, careers, marriage, academic etc so much depends on our interaction with the divine light of God’s word and the enabling power of the Holy Ghost. Why?

We have been born again and received the power of sonship by the incorruptible seed of the word of God that lives and abide forever.  The church in Jerusalem was born as the disciples of Jesus were baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire; which transformed timid men to bold men making them instruments of untold possibilities, declaring the message of the cross fearlessly without shame and thus, drawing 3000 men to the kingdom of God in one day.  They walked in supernatural power with signs and wonders, fulfilling the word of Jesus as they became true witnesses and ambassadors of Christ on earth.  God’s promise through His word which is the believer’s heritage, gave you and I, the church, authority and power to produce signs and wonders as He did through the Apostles as they were continually filled with the Holy Ghost and with Power. 1 Pet 1:23, Joh 1:12. Act 1:8, Act 2, and Act 4:8, 29-31.

Beloved, to do the works of Jesus and achieve untold possibilities, we need to follow the pattern of Jesus and that of the Apostles, in continued study of the word of God, in prayer and by the in-filling of the Holy Spirit, where the gifts and manifestation of the Holy Spirit finds expression in and through our lives for our common good. If not now, when?  Stop subcontracting your responsibility to others, it is time to not just talk the talk, but walk the walk, the disciples were called “Christians” in Antioch because they looked like Christ, operating and doing supernatural exploits and accomplishing untold possibilities like Jesus.  For you and I have been commissioned to do greater works and the time to start is now, let’s go.   1 Cor 12:6-7, Act 11:26.

Consider this:

“Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves. Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son” [Joh 14:11-13 NIV]
